I woulfd guess 1300-1400hp (with a real correction factor,no bs stuff) if your running 10-12 psi of boost. What drive do you plan on blowing up behind this:evilb: ,Smitty

Goal is 1000hp on pump gas. Going in a 26' cat with Teague Platinum with 1.36's and 2" shorty and realize I will have to be easy on the drive.

What are the flow numbers on the heads?

you are going to go way over your hp goal if you run some good boost, i dont think that drive will last 5 trips on the water unless you never "run the boat" hard. good luck with your project

Could be anything, since the horsepower could be corrected for any number of temperatures and pressures. Most tests are corrected so the buyer feels good about his/her purchase.

986hp

Here is a sample of our water i should be fine on the drive if i respect the power and dont hammer it out of the hole.

True in some cases if you dont know what numbers you are looking at/for.

Now that place looks familar!

Born2burn,
I have a spare drive if you need one.. -2" shorty, 1.36 gears. Was behind 1400hp for a couple of weekends. Just went thru it.. looked very good inside. Had the gears cryo treated.. external wet sump cooling/filter..

sounds like a trick drive, is it hard to modify for ext. oil setup?

monstaaa 05-07-2007 08:39 PM

i ll say between 1050 and 1100. on pump

JCPERF 05-07-2007 08:47 PM

It should make around 1050 at 5lbs and 1175 at 8lbs on a conservative dyno.

bobl 05-08-2007 10:21 PM

Glad to see you are finally getting that thing going. It's been a long road. I'm certain you'll meet your HP goal, plus about 100....

born2burn 05-11-2007 06:31 PM

We met the goal but having fuel delivery issues. The fuel pressure is dropping off on top. Starting with 9psi and it drops off as low as 2psi.

32 degrees total
6psi of boost
93 pump gas straight from BP gas station down the street from Laz's shop

Made 950/975 uncorrected at 5800
With ambient temp 92
Barometer 101%
Hygrometer 58
the correction factor is 1.052
Which is 999.4hp and 1025.7tq close enough to a 1000hp for me and she will live with this conservative tune up. Ya it will go way over the 1000hp mark with a more aggressive tune up but I want my cake and eat it to. Live with lots a power.

I dont have the dyno sheet in front of me but I will post it soon.

if your using a mechanical pump, you may want to consider the C.V products pump. i forget the number. but heres a pic.
it works great never looses pressure. maintains press. from idle to 6500. capable of fedding 1400+ h.p .
