After changing both the in-line and seperator fuel filters the engine ran fine. I have not had any more problems. I should have done those things before going out the first time this year.

I have never had any problems running on the hose.

If you experience a loss in RPM soon, clean the injectors. I just did my other motor which started losing RPM range as well, and sure enough each had an amazing amount of the same fine rusty crud in them (probably fiber-glass dust from the build) and now it runs great again. The fuel issue for me has been a gift that keeps on giving...:mad:

Any experts out there know if we could use techron and change oil after using it so as not to eat the bearings ?

Just changed an impellor today that the boat was ran on a hose reel and excessive rpm's with alot of restriction, and was probably over revved . BBB :D

It's a small "automotive-type" canister between the tank and the boost pump typically mounted along a stringer.
