Fuel delivery problems

went out today, then a problem a long way from home. Thanks to some good boaters it worked out, but now I have to fix the problem.

The port motor is not getting fuel, I can hear the fuel run, 99 model 502 mpi mags, bone stock.

Seems like either the pump is bad, but I can hear it spinning, much louder than normal. I wonder if it is fuel restriction or bad pump.

Thoughts????? Thanks in advance.

Did you check to see of there is fuel pressure at the rail? There is a port for checking pressure.

Dean, is that you? Send me a picture of the boat or post one.
I speak of you often, how being a boater for once paid off, 5 minutes of advice saved me thousands...

I am still gone a lot and deploy again in July, 26 years of this stuff, I am getting tired. I hope all is well for you and the family, and the boat too.
I have the least hours on any 2003 boat. (my DONZI ZX has 171 hours on stock motors). Also, I am always shopping! So she is of course she is always for sale... the bigger better faster disease.. :)
So tell some more boating stories and whats new with the Profile.

BTW, I had a same year 502, similar issue, a bank of 4 injectors cured the problem.

Dean, Like Monstaa said, start with the most likely, the fuel filter. I beleive the 99 is a cool fuel set up. Check if it is that or a V.S.T. set up. If it is the latter, I have a pump and system in the garage you can have. I took off the pump to install a ProCharger. If the pump has run dry for a while it may be fried. Eric
