If my recent problems mean time for new cam, what do y'all think of these? I heard Crane had some QC issues and I am not so sure I want to risk it, especially if it is the cause of my current trouble.

Its for a SBC 388 w/Dart 200cc heads, Revolution exhaust, Brodix dual plane HV1016. I ran Rhodes lifters and perhaps will again.

Old cam

I want the bigger one (60112) of course, but it may suck water. The crane had 10 degrees overlap, the 60111 has 8, the 60112 has 15. I am asking the same thing to Revolution.

Sounds like a nice setup. What type of drive? What realistic rpm will the motor WOT at? I ask as there is no need for the larger 231/239 if you are only going to spin the motor 5200-5500rpms. You'll go faster with the 219/227 as it will make nice power in the 5200-5500rpm range. It should also be fine with your exhaust. The larger 231/239 will likely see reversion, it just depends how far back the water mixes with the exhaust on your setup.

Alpha drive. :eek: With the crane cam it topped out at about 5500-5600 RPM. I want to keep it in that area

I'm running it in mine and it's pretty sweet. No reversion with my Glenwood manifolds and 16" long risers. Pulls hard to 5600rpms.
