Hatch Ram Accelerator Kit

Anyone have any luck with the engine hatch accelerator kit from Hardin or CP Perf. (same kit)? Thinking about purchase and did thread search, but with price and no return makes me wonder? Was there a significant speed increase?

Thanks, TIM

I installed one last year and love it.I thought my actuator was going bad because it was so slow, but the new one did the same thing. So I added the accelarator and it was twice as fast. The only thing I changed was I removed the inline blade fuse and installed a automatic reset breaker. If I held or hit the button when the hatch was all the way down or up the fuse would blow and mine is located under the hatch,I know I'm bum.But after the second time I learned my lesson.Other then that I would recommend to buy it.

Thanks Nordic95

Yes I installed one last month.
Check your voltage to the hatch motor. Mine was 9.5 volts.
Mine had 10 gauge wire from front to back. I did not have time to rewire the hatch but that is the problem that relay was a cheap way out! If you rewire it it will work. The wires on the relay are 14 gauage:eek:
