lost power to coil
 

Just replaced the intake gaskets on a 350 mag mercruiser. when we were done the coil had no power. after testing a few leads we lost all power to the motor and are blowing the ignition fuse, for the key switch. there is a bad ground somewhere or a crossed wire. any suggestions? It is a thunderbolt ignition.
replaced the cellenoid and checked the main harness

Is safety lanyard switch shorted? I dunno how the intake gasket change could effect that but might be worth a glance with test light.

pinched wire??

Ditto on the pinched wire thing. Check out were all the brackets get bolted on and see if anything got pinched on re-assembly.
