Can anyone tell me if they have set up a chrysler 426hemi for marine application either race or pleasure ? how did it do ? pros cons let me know!!!

We used to run Blown 500" Hemi's in the Grand Prix Inboard Hydro's.Compared to Chevrolet based engines they were extremely expensive ,weighed more and were a pain to work on.However all of that was offset by the Performance and the sound was different compared to the chevy's.

Check with Steve Stepp at Velocity. He 's got a 572" Hemi in his 29 VR-1 I think it was built by Ray Barton in PA.

It can be done, but not inexpensively. Weight and parts availability are big hurdles.

Ray Barton in P.A. was the engine builder on Rogers Boat also.
