Iac Position

What should be the Iac position and Iac base position on a DDT scan tool with the engine off?? and when switche to service mode it's giving me code 12 with the led number 1 light flashing. Can someone tell me what this means.

The IAC position with the engine off will vary and doesn't tell you anything. You want to check IAC activity with the engine running and the engines response (or lack thereof). If you have a DDT, you can do a IAC reset and if you listen closely (engine not runnning) you should be able to hear the IAC reset.

A code 12 means the self diagnostic system is working. You will always get a code 12 first when checking trouble codes.
