5.7lx Cutting Out

I Have A 96 Baja Outlaw With 5.7lx Carburated Motor. Problem Is At Aprox 3500 Rpm And Above Engine Cuts Out Intermitantly This Problem Seems To Come And Go But Is Getting Worse More Noticable At Wot Also Lossing Rpm's Will Only Run 4000 Rpm And Used To Run 4400-4600 Motor Has 149hours On It And I Just Replaced Spin On Fuel Filter But Didn't Help. Have you looked at your plug wires? I just had this problem with my boat and almost had the same symptoms. The other thing to look at is if you have the proper fuel pressure. Is your cap and rotor in good shape. To me it sounds like an ignition thing. Good luck and let us know what you find!
