Leaking Trim Pump

The drive trim pump on my 2000 Superboat is leaking oil pretty bad. I think it is coming from where the upper and lower part of the reservoir come together. I've checked on BAM's site, and one schematic shows the reservoir separately as a discontinued part, but there is a different schematic that shows only the whole pump is available. I'm going to call the marina in the morning to see what they have. Any ideas as to what I'm up against? Does the 2000 model pump have to be completely replaced to get the reservoir?

does your tank have the single bolt in the bottom or the 4 screws around the large hole, merc no longer sells the tank with the single hole in the bottom, you have to buy the conversion whick consists of a new pump housing assy and a tank with 4 screws and it costs about 300 or so, sierra marine parts still make the tank with the single bolt in the bottom for about 40.

?? It is a 2000 model boat, so I'm assuming it is the newer style. I looked at it yesterday, but I didn't know what to look for. I'll have to check it out again to be sure.

If you are looking for the standard 1990's plastic reservoir with the single bolt/screw in the middle, I have two almost new at $25 ea. including UPS cost. I also have two of the leak proof caps (blue) for $10 each.

It was the type with the single bolt in the bottom. The Merc part was discontinued, but my marina had a Volvo one. Funny, it worked just fine. That and a quart of ATF out the door for $30. Took about an hour to replace. No more Leak! Thanks for the help!
