Mine a 500efi, I mounted mine where the fuel cooler was, same bracket,if you run a return like back the the tank.filler hose it shouldnt vapor lock,or need the fuel cooler. The a1000 pump is running 860hp no probs here.

I think yours has kinda the same bracket,I bet it has a eletric pump. you prob could copy the whipple kit fuel system.

You can see the red pump in the pick

I went through 2 A1000's and 2 Eliminators on my Viper. I couldn't catch a break on the Aeromotive pumps. I have a -12AN sump fitting in the bottom of the tank, so they were gravity fed.

Eventually the Aeromotive pumps weren't able to keep up with horsepower and the failure rate was costing me races, so I ended up installing a Weldon 2345A and that pump is just awesome! Loud! But it gets the job done and then some.

This was around the 2004-2005 time frame.

on the Viper? was it dead heading or bypassing? the old ones had a glue prob that held the magnets and would stop up a filter if you were lucky enough to have one after the pump or stop up a injector then vent a pistion.

Yes, on the Viper. The pumps would start to not keep up under WOT and lose pressure. The fuel filters were fine.

Just be aware that if you install a full-time electric fuel pump it must be connected to an oil pressure switch to comply with USCG safety requirements.

Don't give your insurance company an "OUT" if you have a claim involving fuel delivery.

Remember, and you probably know this, an electric fuel pump "pushes" fuel better than it "pulls", so it needs to be close to the tank.

You're correct about the Weldon pump, but you need a high ampere alternator to run it AND keep the batteries up.
