Let us know how that goes. I'm still running the stock intakes, and I was thinking the bypass port might be a place for me to add water psi senders...whadya think?

Yeah, but the intake is a lot easier to get to then the block drain :D Probably why you mounted your temporary psi gauge in the intake manifold? And doesn't that intake have two ports in the water passage? What do people use those for?
