where to get parts for mechanical trim indicator drive end components

mechanical indicator is sticking on one drive
red cable sheathing at transom is cracked. cable and coil surround is exposed and looks rusty
.
also plunger has some corrrosion and because of these issuess the plunger sticks and either slowly, or does not fully extend.

can you replace transom rearward, or is a full length cable replacement needed.
I disassembled the plunger/spring from the drive side housing, but what does it take to remove the cable assembly and replace and reseal again at the transom fitting.

and where is the best place to buy repalcemetn parts.

they are Kiekaufer (spelling?) mechanical indicators

thanks

Its is just a morse cable. You need to find out the length and replace the entire cable. The length should be on the cable. Probably have to look inside the transom to find the number. Trick, CP as well as many others will have or be able to get the cable.

The indicator is Merc part and is expensive as well as the replacement parts. I would do the best you can with cleaning it up and go from there.
