Motor hours, 700 -1100 too much ????

Motor is a 468 with twin turbos. Not intercooled. Looking to buy this boat possibly. Seems like time for a motor rebuild to me. Seller says it is fine .....

Opinions??????

I know several people that have 1000-1200 hours on their engines. only difference is that they are stock engines maticulasly maintained and are NA. Seems high to me. You can always do a leakdown/compression test and that could give you some (read top end of motor) indication of it's health. Good luck!

Factor in the cost of a full rebuild. As a percentage this is small on a 50K boat but pretty high on an older boat worth 18K.
