I've got a few pain in the a** prob.'s on my boat.
1. front bilge, noticed carpet was wet. Replaced pump and manually pumped out approx. 15 gallons of water. Still got alot of water so I snaked the hole that runs to the back of the boat, no apparent blockage but water won't run back or pump out. ??

2. rear bilge pump comes on and won't turn off once bilge is dry. It just runs and then stops and won't let me engage the manual function. I'm planning on switching the automatic float this weekend. Do the pumps have some kind of over heat function that would shut it down before burning out??

3. Port side drive won't raise into trailer mode. What should I look for?

Thanks in advance to all.

switch connections ( happened to me)
elec connection at the trim pump.
fluid in pump,
check solenoid

make sure you press the drive trim switch and trailer switch at the same time

ran out of ideas

1) Check your anchor locker drain - I know a few people (including myself) who's drains backed up into the cabin.

2) New float.

3) Mine wouldn't go down and it turns out there are breaker switches right above the batteries and I accidentally clicked one off when I was turning the batteries off...

Hope this helps.

I had a cabin pump stick on when I was dropping it off at the marina. Long story short they didn't look at it until the batteries were dead. So next time I had it out and had tools I looked at the pump. They had tried to twist lock the pump on the strainer/mounting plate and wedged on of the tabs into the impellor. Well the pump came on and burned up the pump and blew the constant 12vdc fuse line. My setup has a switched + directly to the pump, and an always on + to the float.
