Supercharged 496 thermostat

I am looking for a 140* thermostat for my Whipple'd 496 closed cooling system. It has the 160* in it now and has been creeping up to 180 a little to often. My past supercharged motors were set up to run in the 125-140 range. I bought this one used and was surprised to see the 160. I noticed this one has a spring loaded ristrictor on the bottom of it.
Does anyone know where I might find a 120-140*?

Take the guts out of it or drill holes until you get the desired temp. I run one without the guts and run about 130*

You can buy a 140 from any merc. dealer for a carb'd 454. Around $20 with gaskets

I don't think it can be used on the closed cooling set up. Mine has a spring loaded restrictor on the bottom of it for some reason.
I just drilled some holes in the 160 and will try it out tomorrow.
