LED's under swim platform

I have seen a couple of Fountains on Lake Travis that have neon under the swim platform.

I think it looks great around the docks, at speed, and late night swimming in the cove.

But, I would prefer to avoid neon due to the high electrical draw.

Has anyone done it with LED's?

PICS?

I have a 2000 Baja 232 with the integrated swim platform.

Are any of the LED's below suitable for lighting under my swim platform?

Thanks

Don't know about the LEDs in your links, but my friend is a car audio guy, and he has a kit that has LEDs encased in acrylic tubes like the neons for cars are. He uses his on his boat without any problems...

Not sure of the make, but check with local car audio and customizing shops

OU Wantsome?!! had some installed on his Sea Ray, and was talking about putting them on the Nor-Tech. You might shoot him a PM. He got his out of Ft. Lauderdale somewhere.

I have them on my Harley, over the engine...

You can get a set from discount auto parts for cheap (under $15) that are waterproof... even if they break rather quickly, you can try it out with little expense.

The downside of LED's is you will get "hot spots", meaning the light won't be as smooth as neon. They are much safer though, and you can leave them on forever without draining the battery.

I was referred to these, but $235 each is more than I want to spend.
