Performance of a 260SX Powerquest

Does anybody have experience with 260 Powerquests as to engine/drive modifications and what top speed was obtained and any handling issues?

Check out the powerquest forum. Do a search on 260 or 257. My personal experience has not been good. Still working on carb and drive issues, but my 540hp 502 (dynoed) isn't pushing this boat anywhere near where it should be.

My personal opinion is if you're looking for any significant speed, buy another boat. The 257/260 is a great small offshore for someone who wants to go 50-60mph, but that's about it.

I installed a Whipplecharger on a 260SX with a 454 Mag EFI and it went from 61 to 76 mph. Was a blast to drive. Owner just upgraded to a bigger boat, so it is now for sale at Shogren performance.
