I think you should be able to pull it off by hand and just tap it on the side to get it loose. Otherwise a small gear puller would work. I had a smaller pulley on mine already and never ended up changing them. You might need to get new front seal as well. You should be able to get/order one from an automotive store.

Paypal is fine-- [email protected]

I'll ship it out when the funds go in.

what cooland temps are typical

my first run this season ( with new stats iand gaskets nstalled) I saw 170 at 3500 rpm and thinking that is a little high.

I hope I was sent the wrong stats, otherwise i'm looking into seapump and coolant lines for sand from the launch. ( only other option)

the other thing is the gasket with the 1/4 inch hole
is that the latest design ?

I should have left them alone......

Change to the automotive style input shaft, then you can get rid of those splined pulleys and run off the shelf weiand pulleys with a keyway. Its a direct replacment, even comes with a new bearing. I got some 2.85 splined pulleys, but they did not seem to engage the shaft very far, so I did not want to run them. An additional benefit of the automotive shaft kit is that it comes with a new fine splined coupler rather than the big splined deal Merc used. (Fine splines=more surface area, less prone to failure)
