Stainless Marine HI-TORQUE manifolds

Anyone know if the Stainless Marine HI-TORQUE manifolds (not GEN III's) will work on 540 ci (600+ hp) motors? Just trying to plan ahead:D
Thanks

They will work on any BB. WIth "standard" BB heads. Your only issue may be depending on the heads you use, if the exhaust lines up with the current holes.

Thanks....I'm pretty sure they will bolt up, I'm just wondering if they will support that kind of horse power. I couldn't find anything ontheir website about it.

I'm using them on a 500 CI motor blower motor W/ Canfield heads 350cc runners 850++ Hp. All is well, breathes like a dragon...

Does the stainless stuff work with the more pedestrian, standard, run of the mill through the prop bravo 1 setup?
In other words, my mercruiser manifolds are coming up on 8 years old. These would be the last manifolds I would have to buy ever, right?

EDIT: Nevermind. Just saw the price!

$2400??? Is a steal when your stock Merc stuff leaks and trashes as engine. Stainless has a couple different exhaust. You don't need the more expensive set.(hiTorque Gen3)

Hi torque III is neet stuff! I'm runnin' the standard Hi Torques and I would love the three's but they were not out then. I Love the standards as they DO THE JOD going on 5 years now salt and fresh water....

I`ve got the Hi-Torques on my stock 502. They are awesome.

I had a pair of Gen III`s on a stroker engine I built a couple years ago. These are monsters !!!

Do you have to have anything done to your computer because of a lean condition when using the stainless marine exhaust ??

I'm running them on my 1997 502MPI without computer mods.

I'm also running them on my '96 502 MPI's without any computer mods as well. Nice product & good support from factory. Not the cheapest manifolds, but best bang for the buck.

How do you tell which manifolds you have?

ghittner 09-18-2007 06:22 PM

The threes have individual runners all the way through the manifold and extending into the collector, you can see it on their web site. The high torques (earlier), only have the runners part way up the manifold. I had to get these because I needed to twist the collector pipe to a side outlet.
