over heating problem

Replaced raw water pump, still over heating, loss of water pressure, any ideas?

Did the original impeller disintegrate and the pieces are still clogging the system?

Is the thermostat opening?

Are the raw water pick-ups clear?

Sea strainers clogged?

Is this a sterndrive set-up? Need much more info to really help you.

This a blower motor, the impeller was still in one piece, no thermostat or sea strainer, spilt the hose in half from the gimbal to the pump thought maybe it was collapiseing, but looked fine. It will pump water and stay normal at idle. It must be between the gimbal and the pickup, but need some insight to check. Any help appreciated.

I had a problem last weekend where seaweed got caught inside the Bravo lower. I pulled the hose off the sea strainer and back flushed it with a garden hose. A little bit would come out so then I hooked it back to the strainer and tried to pull it forward. It took about 20 tries to get all of it out. If I had been closer to home, I'd just put it on the trailer and take the lower off to clean it out.

Problem solved, the oil cooler was plugged up. Thanks for your help.

Plugged up with what?

I boat on the Mississippi River, pull up on sand bar alot. It was plugged with sand and small rock. Going to consider a sea strainer for next year. Thanks
