Engine Flushing

I recently purchased a new boat. As a novice, I was wondering if anyone could advise me about flushing the engine with an additive. Do you recommend it and if so how often?

I use Salt Away every flush, unless I forget it at home or something.

if in salt water flush after every use. If you are running T-stats get the engines up to temp and flush for 10 mins. I use a product called salt away or salt terminator.

If salt away, etc. is not available, dish soap works well and is much cheaper. At the end of the season I usually use a cleaner/wax combo too. All I know is when I opened up my Stainless Marine exhaust they looked brand new inside after 350 hrs or so.
