I read somewhere not to use these but i've had good luck running the AC r42ts plug. I'm I missing something?

They say the tip can get hot and cause detination, that its stick out into the chamber. But in a bot with verymuch idleing the non will load up. I my race car stuff i run non pro tips with the nos . I run them at 8.5 pds on 93. |
I ran extended tip plugs in my hopped up 525SC. I used NGK UR5's. Same heat range as an AC 41.

procharger says not to run extended tip plugs with a blower,it was the only way I could keep them from fouling so I chose to ignore there advice and I have never had a detonation problem,Smitty

I was told by a Champion rep at Daytona that extended tips are cooled by the incoming air charge.
