496ho with CMI exhaust
 

i'm trying to undrstand how can be the sound of 496ho engine with CMI exhaust....anyone can help me with some videos???thank's federico.

P.S. CMI headers for this kind of engine is the best choice?

The results I have seen so far from the CMI's used on the 496 have been somewhat lackluster.. Sounds better, accelerates better, but top end is minimally (if any) improved..

But is it the best choice or are there better exhaust?

Do a search of 496/header threads to see the actual performance increases. We would not have this level of sales with lackluster results.

Hmm, reminds me of a quote from PT Barnum....

Granted, I am only familiar with a few installs, but they all report the same lackluster performance gains.. Maybe the stock manifolds are not so bad? Maybe some folks buy them for the looks more than the performance?

They sound great.....much more "bark" to the exhaust.

Nordics have an odd exhuast outlet so they sound a little different, but still pretty close. I know a guy with cmis on his 23 OL, and it sounds mean.
