Can someone post a picture or sketch of where the holes are?
Are they in the locating flange? Thanks |

I ran into this issue last summer. I had the thermostat go on my 540's. Victor Jr. Intakes and crossover. I replaced the thermostat. Then my motors were running hot over 3500 rpm. Couldn't figure it out. Pulled the thermostat from the other side. Worked fine, looked closely. 3 holes drilled. 3/16" big on thermostat. Slapped it in and boom. Perfect readings. Never new they drilled thermostats for more water flow, but it works. Hard to believe 3 tiny holes does the trick but. 2 seasons, no problems.

We did the drill thingy to keep flow going and to keep from air pockets out.
My race car uses a Moroso Water-Outlet-Restrictor ,works pretty good, http://www.wisespeedshop.com/Moroso-...or-p-7454.html Also my Whipple kit for my 500efi cam with a water outlet restrictor. Id still run a thermastat |
