engine differences, 330, 400, and 420 hp

I have a 86 Baja with 400's, I was wondering if the 400 is closer to a 420 or a 330 as far as heads and shortblocks, anyone know for sure what they all have?

400's and 420's are very similar. 330 is completely different.

My 400's have the roller rockers on them, i was figuring they had the bigger rods and forged pistons also? someone put Holley carbs on them and got rid of the Q-jets, i know 420's had Holley.

330 heads are generally peanut port, stamped rockers. 400 + 420 are rectangular port + larger valves, roller
330 nodular iron crank, 400 + 420 steel crank.
Overall the 400 cyclone series are very good motors.
I think all the cyclones had holleys.

The long blocks are the same for the 400 and 420. Even the cam and valvetrain are the same. The differences are in the carb, intake and exhaust. Good engines just a little small:D. The 330 is a low perf. pickup truck motor.

Cool, thanks, I wanted to know all the differences.
