Default Merc 525 gaudian mode question

I've got a buddy that is working on a 525. The guardian kicks in @ 1200 rpm's , the computer shows that it is at 60% power but there is no error code. It's not the shift interupt. All looks good as far as codes(there are none present).

Anyone experienced this????????????????

Check the crank sensor at the front of the motor, especially the connection for moisture or corrosion.

As far as I know, there has to be an Active Fault to put the engine in Guardian Mode. A Shift Switch fault would limit the engine to 3000 RPM, not 1200.

Is it possible to post the contents of the Freezframe memory?
