plug vs drive line gimle
 

what is the difference between a plug-in and a drive line gimble? im assumeing this is for transmisson boats only.

A bravo can have a plug in (standard) or drive line (for staggered) as well as transmission boats.
The gimbals/trannsom assemblies are the same. On the drive line units there is a drive flange, carrier bearing, and the bearing support that is bolted to the transom plate. It bolts in the same place that the rear engine mounts (bravo) or trans tailstock (transmission) would bolt to the transom assembly. The drive flange has a shaft that projects back towards the bellows that supports the horizontal shaft/U joint assembly from the drive.
The flange in front of that supports a drive shaft between the engine/transmission and drive.
