Just a note, 454s and alphas are not a good combo. Merc offered them in a 1.36? ratio for a year or two, but I think too many alphas blew up. Consider bravos or small blocks.

let me clairify<Twin alpha's spinning in the same direction will work, theve been doing it for years, counter-rotating drive are the best way to go. But if working with limited funds, same direction rotation will work.
