Do you have any pics of the connections, both front and back?

Im in the process of doing a pair of intakes now and Im just connecting the rear together, straight across. Any benefit running front to back?

CC230 03-21-2012 06:31 AM

Would this benefit a small block 383? What are the water pressure limits?
Thanks

My thoughts are getting rid of or recirulate Water vapor /air pocket/steam from the rear to the front, wich would keep the hot water/steam/air in the motor or run of a small line over board, small as to not loose water pressure.

Most on sbc.Its like on the sbc they tapped the side of the block or freeze plug to get the area between the 2 clinders cooler.I think the donovan and brodix blocks come this way.Ive seen them do the head to.SBC

dump it back in the header or therm hous or overboard

The new ls1 car stuff comes with them from GM

example

These help prevent a known condition where air and steam tend to form a pocket over the high side of the rear combustion chambers. They tap the otherwise closed rear coolant crossover ports where these bubbles get trapped and allow them purge They are small in that you don't want to bleed too much coolant/water from back there as this is the coolest stuff the heads see and you want to move it forward or over

You can see the #6 line front to rear on my Camaro, again sbc, also see the tall threm housining because the raditor is below the water line in the intake,It would trap a air/steam pocket in the heads, hot spots.Ive seen on my Chevelle with the temp sending unit in the head all of a sudden see the telp ramp up from 160 to 260-280,becasue of steam pocket. Most of the time when i fill the rad/engine with water i have to jack up the front of the car to get the air out. just some extra info:drink:

So I could come off the back of the intake and tee it into the hose coming off the thermostat and headed for the riser,, right?

is that alum or stainless?

I would be afraid of the alum line with vibration causing the flared seat to crack,no experience with alum tho
