pat im intrested in the swim platform if you want to sell it call me at 248 388 4360

Pat McPherson 11-04-2007 06:38 AM

Hi Guys,
I plan to start pulling the boat apart next weekend.
The interior is 10 years old so the vinyl does show wear.
I'm not going to ask much money for it and I rather someone pick the stuff up. I don't think it will be worth all the effort and cost of shipping.
As for the swim platform, I bought it new from Extreme Marine 5 years ago for $1800 and the stainless latter was like $250. The platform needs to be sandblasted and repainted the latter works well. $1000 OBO plus shipping.
I'm posting here because my PM box is filling up fast.
Thanks,

Sick Stinger 11-04-2007 12:17 PM

What drive is on thios boat?

Pat McPherson 11-04-2007 01:19 PM

Hey guys,
At this point the only parts that are for sale are the interior, swim platform , and a lab finished 27p M+ prop.
I plan to keep the running gear to rig a new hull or repower a project boat.
Thanks,

I had a 24' Pantera; a 28' would work.
My next performance boat will be 26 to 30 feet.

I will be looking for a boat without power, needs to be repowered, or a new hull.
I've got plenty of time for shopping. Being back on the water in a performance boat for the 2008 season is not a very high priority.

Sick Stinger 11-05-2007 08:52 AM

Ok just though id toss that one out there

cuposterchild 11-05-2007 08:56 AM

Pat-

Let me know if you need any help with the dismantle. Just shoot me a PM.

You can cu that boat up with a chainsaw and put it into a dumpster. Most boats like that will fit into a 40 yard roll off once they are cut up.

Good luck with your salvage. You should re offer at 3k.

Probably fit in a 40 yd dumpster without cutting it.

CN24 11-07-2007 04:25 PM

What kind of seats?

Pat McPherson 11-07-2007 06:32 PM

My interior is just like Dave's or George's in this thread.
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=171995
Mine is not in as good shape as it is 10 years old.
Like I said before, I rather some one comes to my house with cash.
I will sell every thing including the cabin stuff for $750.
If I split the cockpit stuff out $600. Stand sit seats only $400.

Russ G 11-07-2007 06:35 PM

Pat is the windscreen for sale? Do you think it will fit a 24 Pantera with a little work?

It is cracked, so you can have it if you come get it.
Don't know if it would fit.

IRONMAN 11-09-2007 09:26 AM

Do the bolster bottoms drop to the hullside or hinge to the back? Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,
The bottoms drop to the sides of the hull.

If it's not raining here tomorrow I'll take some pictures and measurements to post for all that may be interested in interior parts...

Smitty 11-13-2007 04:09 PM

WOW At least you made it back to the dock !!!

baronbob 11-14-2007 09:24 PM

Pat this is baron bob can't believe this happened are you really all right? I blew my engine but you blew your boat and perhaps your pride. What will you do now? I mean what is the next boat? How is the wife dealing with this? I think your first instinct is the correct one get her gone. Take the ins. and run. Liability with offing the hull is not worth it. As for me I am thinking Lobster Boat, believe it dude 64 and I am ready to slow down. We did the French canal system this year what a time and all @ 11KPH. Had it with speed and all of the associated mechanical fall out. I will take the cocktail having spent twice the time getting there. Haveing said that going to Desolation Sound this year aboard the procharged BBC, maybe not quiting just yet.

Pat McPherson 11-17-2007 09:47 AM

Hi Bob,
It has been 4 weeks now and I'd say I'm physically 95% good to go. Sure my pride took a hit, live and learn...
I do plan to get back into boating at some point next year or the year after. A bigger, stronger, and slower boat it will be...
I’m looking for a single engine boat 26 to 30ft that needs power. If I don’t find something between now and late spring, I write off 2008 and order myself a new hull to rig myself…

Pat McPherson 12-19-2007 12:33 PM

Hey Guys,
I bought another boat so my wrecked 24' Super is up for sale without engine and drive.
I'll start another thread in the swap shop and post a link here.
Thanks,

hey Pat .... good luck on the sale of the hull .....If you dont sell it I was thinking maybe a tech school or the Like ... you could donate it and use it as a tax write off ... There is a place here in NE florida called "safe harbor for boys" They rehab young men that need help in Life ... I'm sure there is something like that in your area .... m

Oh yes, if the hull does not go with all of the hi $$ accessories, the hull and trailer may be donated. Yes, there is a place here in CT. I think it's called the Sound School.
Thanks for the input...

Our new boat was delivered to the marina on Wednesday. I'm going to cover her up tomorrow.
I'm hoping to pull the engine from my old boat it the next few weeks. Then I'll strip out the stuff I plan to sell off.
It will likely be late March early April before I drop the engine in the Velocity.
