Witch is better on resale.200 thru 2002 33 scarab with 496 or 502 .Looking at buying one.

FWIW, if I were looking I would choice the 502 over the 496. Can of worms on why but...

Resale will depend more on year, condition and hours. Both engines offer relatively the same HP and reliability. Personally, I'd rather have 502mpi's.

What does it matter? You're not going to have them in there for long anyways.
