Gen VI 7.4 shortblock

I put my 1999 310HP/7.4MPI shortblock up for sale in the Swap Shop. It has approximately 150hours on it and it's just been taking up space for the past 3 years. I sold the heads off it last year and I'd like to see the rest go too.
What is it worth?
I listed it at $1200 including the flywheel, balancer, and tin.
No responses. Am I asking too much?
I do know that it's worth $500-$1000 as a core if I was to buy a reman unit.

Pat,
I tell most of my customers that if they are thinking of buying a used marine engine of any type, to just figure that they are maybe getting a good crankshaft and rods. Unless it was fresh water cooled, then the block is probably ok. I would probably not recommend paying much more than $500 for something like yours :( If the block is in pristine condition, with no corrosion showing at the water holes in the deck, then it might be worth a few dollars more.

Thanks for the reply.
No, the engine was not freshwater cooled.
It was a Volvo Penta pilot/test engine with 37 hrs when I bought it in 2003. Then I ran it for 2 seasons in the CT River and LI Sound always ending in fresh water.
The block is not full of rust. If it's only worth $500-$700, I'll let it sit where it is...
