And yes, the base circle of the cam has alot to do with it, but it ALL gets measured in the total sum.

It is all about the base circle... The danger is not the extra lift it's just that usually when lift increases the base circle decreases. If the cam design has too small a base circle the lifter can drop down too far and come out of the factory "dogbone" locators. Which could be pretty ugly.:hitfan: I have never seen this but both comp and crane make lifters with taller bodies to aoid this.

Correct... just like Haxby said. Bob (RMBuilder) came up with a grind for me with .600/.595 lift that should have close the the same base circle to what the zz502 cam did so the lifters don't drop into the dogbones too far. I'm sure it will make great power too:cool-smiley-027:
