fuel filter prosharged MPI
I had a airmotive 1000 go out within the first 9 months of opperation. Airmotive fixed it and said that my stock water seperator/filter was too fine for the poor suction charterstic of the pump (likes to push more than it likes to suck). They recommended putting the filter after the pump. Any experience out there with this idea? Lots of goodies in this application Merlin heads ect. over 500HP, 5400 RPM, 6PSI, 42# injectors and a custom tune by Dustin. Could I get away with a less fine filter? If I relocate the filter should I put some sort of a filter before the pump?

You would be better off getting a bigger & higher flow separator.. It is better to filter before the pump so that nothing gets into the pump to damage it.. A larger capacity & flow filter should do the trick.. I can get you one if you would like.. Also make sure your lines are big enough as well as having the pump mounted as low as possible if you dont have a feeder pump.. ;)
