mx 6.2 question
Does anyone know the camshaft specs on a stock merc mx 6.2 particular duration?
|
Crane 104224
Don't know for sure, but I read on here a while back that the cam in the 6.2 is a Crane 104224. See link for specs.

You planning more than exhaust and shorty?
|
Making sure things are gonna work. There might be a problem with the amount of duration with the cam causing reversion. If so might have to go a different route!

From Merc Service manual 24 supplement:

From Merc Racing Service Manual 7: Engine 377 CID (6.2L) Lifter Type Roller Hydraulic Rocker Arm Ratio 1.50 to 1 Valve Lift Intake 0.510 (12.95) Exhaust 0.530 (13.46) Lobe lift +- 0.002 (0.051) I= 0.340 (8.636) E=0.3534 (8.9763) Dur @ 0.050 I=222 E=230 |

Really need the duration @ .050, stainless marine short risers to work with the corsa Q&Q. I think the merc racing specs are for the scorpin I'm needing specs on the regular black mx 6.2
