Rob,
Thanks for posting that link, Larry is definitely at the head of the pack. He is one of the top airflow specialists in the world at this point. There are many interesting photos included in that link, especially the heads he did for Don Terrill, PRI, and the dyno runs. Bob |
Rob, there's a name that's a blast from the past and has done great for himself. Did a lot of drag racing in the 80's (Super gas and Super Stock). Meaux did a lot of work for us on different projects. Being a Mississippi guy, here's another name for you - Elisha Boyd. We actually bought a '69 Camaro from C.J. Batten (think he ran it as a SS/DA. 13,000 original miles) and converted it into a S/G car. Man that brings back good memories. I need to find the old prints and scan them in so I can post them.
I worked at a shop here in town called Faul's Automotive (Jimmy Faul). At one time we had 4 or 5 cars running out of his shop. A SS/I or SS/IA '67 Camaro, SS/GTD '83 Firebird, SG '69 Camaro, a Super Pro bracket '68 Camaro and a Pro bracket '64 Plymouth Valiant. Jimmy would regularly make record runs with the '67 and many times came close or set them. Makes me want to start racing again but then I'd have to choose hobbys! Like my Ciggie too much at this point!:D |
Yeah, Larry does some unbelievable work to heads and intakes. His software seems to be almost on the money when it comes to figuring e.t. and mph http://www.maxracesoftware.com/

They did the heads for the 427 small block myself and Derebery Jr. ran last season. The SB2 9.3 Intake on the site is in the works for next season. We will see what the car can handle. |
