The extra battery and battery switch is a must !!! I hate to see you stranded....

we had a 10inch sony xplode in a sealed box running off a 650 watt rms amp and it pounded in our old boat. we went the high road and put in another battery, and battery switch and an amp switch. i think it might have been a bit overboard. last summer in our new boat ran it off one battery, just make sure you turn the amp off when you are sitting listening to music with the motor off. otherwise, turn the amp on and crank up the tunes when you are cruising around!
rock on. josh i read somewhere that you are suposta have your amp running at 75% power, any lower and it will not sound good, any higher you risk overheating the amp. |

I have 2 JL Audio free air subs. While they sound good, they don't have the bass a box sub does. A buddy has a Bazzooka tube under his rear bench seat. I think it sounds alot better than my JL's.

I have a Bazooka tube in the side compartment of my Formula. Bazooka's are easy to set up, come with an integrated amp, no special wiring needed. For the price I'm really happy with it. I might add another one this summer on the other side.
