Geritt, Remember that was a whippled engine that blew up on us on the way to the casino that day. It has blown twice all ready and was installed by a reputable guy.
Your boat is awesome all ready, and runs pretty fast. Why not leave it alone and get a good season or 2 out of it first. Maybe a couple of good casino runs.

We've put 300+ hours on stock 525's with the SC, we've also taken stock one's up to 1000+hp. There's a total of 4 race teams that use our kit on their 525hp efi race boats, dual motor, where they race for hours at a time, stock motors. Very rare that you can supercharge a stock motor and race in P1 and OSS and whatever other class.

Just to be clear, reputable does not always = quality. If a supercharged motor is setup right, it will live a very long time. If it blew up, and it wasn't a part failure that caused it, then it was setup incorrectly, as simple as that.

Keep up the good work. I think I might have aquired one of your older carbed kits from a guy to experiment with on a 496.
I'll PM you if it goes through for the instruction maunal.
No hard feelings, and the failure was actually from.... well I can't tell you.

The fact that Merc is using these superchargers should tell us how well they work, and if set up properly, how reliable they can be.
It's all in the set up and tuning with an EFI system.

WOW, I can't believe it. Mark is posting. Good to here from you big daddy. Are you going to be down in St. Pete, I know AJ is going to need to test out those new Whipples. I also heard a rumor about upgrades for the 1075 Merc, anything you want to share???

Mark @ Precision marine just made a test, 1071, 8.7psi vs. our 305R, same boost, 8.7psi, 100hp. Free power. This was the same manifold, intercooler, timing, air fuel, etc. Just swap, and 100hp. @ 12psi, the 1071 lost hp, but the 305r made even a higher variance, in fact, it was incredible.

I know those whipples rock and they are good stuff. Sorry for stirring up the pot, because that was all I was doing.
