Super chargers

Are there any other supercharger sytems beside Whipple that will fit a 525 efi? I don't want a ProCharger.

Whipple made them for the 525 originally to make it the SC 575 I believe. I dont think there is any other manufacturer.

What is the issue with Whipple? Nice product.

We can do it two ways: one needs clearance of 12" above stock (875 HP), or use the system from the Konrad engine which needs 12" in front of the cylinder heads. The Konrad engine is rated @ 800 HP, but we have installed that supercharger system with pulleys for over 900 HP. Pictures at

No issue with the quality or results, just seeing what else is out there. Seems like the cost to do 2 engines with material and labor is probably in the 25K to 30K range? Lot of money.

Were the only ones that spent the time and money to develop a complete, bolt-on package for the 525HP EFI up to 2007.

The reason it's so expensive is that it's a complete upper half of the engine, with new MEFI4-B ecm pre-programmed, efi harness, engine harness, fuel pump, injectors, regulator, etc. Also has a curponickel intercooler for superior corrision resistance.

You can certainly install other SC systems, but you'll have to modify the water system, belt system, remove the entire EFI system and replace it with something else. May have to make additional brackets for closed cooling system, etc.

Thanks,
Dustin

Im not busting your ballz, just objectivley answering your question. Usually doing stuff right has its costs associated with it.. It's not a cheap engine to start with. No good way of going about this will be inexpensive. The Whipple & The Rtech systems work & are proven, but both will cost you roughly in that 10k range per side plus the install.. The install is also just as important as the part.. We sell & install these units as well. I run a Whipple on my personal Donzi & am quite happy with it.. ;)
