Air pressure will change depending on the temperature. In other words you can have a pressure drop on your guage and not have a leak.

With that kind of air pressure, and submerged, if there are no bubbles coming out, there are no leaks, water temp will change the pressure but bubbles are the answser.

actually, soapy water may show a leak that you might otherwise not see, that includes the gauge

Slightly bubbling from the gauge, a little twist from a wrench and no more leakey.......
