What other than the bellows kept the drive from falling off completely?
|
Lines for the trim cylinders...?
|
Mine was held on by one trim cylender and the hydraulic steering ram. My ujoint exploded whne the drive came off. The bellows never got damaged. I had no water comeing in.

Nope can't use JB Weld or JC Perf Duct tape, but I do have both in my tool boxes. :D No hull damage but so far this repair is very close to 20K. Totally and paying the boat off might be a good thing but I would really rather have it fixed right and enjoy the ride. |
Its a two day job for a complete change out. We do change outs when ever the customer does a complete repower. Anything longer than that you're getting screwed. Just ask ED COZY. He is a marine surveyer and he will tell ya the same thing..

thanks for the replys and help on this mishap. I contacted the insurance company and several mechanics to look this over. Today I talked with the claims adjuster and it looks like I might get a complete setup from the coupler on back; all new coupler, transom, gimbal, complete new bravo 1, and new prop.
It might take a couple of weeks to complete this but the Claims Adjuster seemed to think this was the way to go. Meesa Happy now. :cool-smiley-026: |
