wet stringers

Is a moisture meter reading of 3.5-5.5 anything to worry about on stringers that support the engine? How long will they last with readings like these?

I'am not 100% sure, but i do not think you have a problem at all. That is a very low reading.

i build custom wood staircases & most hardwood is at 4 to 6% which is about perfect. the floor in your house is about that this time of the year.
