Holley 1050 dominator

Does anyone know what the stock jet and power valve size is for a 1050 Holley Dominator carb. I bought a used one and it has 96 jets and block off instead of a power valve. I just need to get it back to stock so I have a base line to start from. it's a 0-9375-1

go on holleys web site...

boss252 03-10-2008 08:13 AM

I did and could not find what i needed.

niceguy 03-10-2008 08:18 AM

I dont believe dominators use power valves, if I am not mistaken.

boss252 03-10-2008 08:48 AM

that would explain the block off plate

I will look at a couple of my old posts, i had a dominator challenge me with a tune for a whole season.....I finally got POED and sent it to pro systems.....

boss252 03-10-2008 09:20 AM

That would be great. I was trying to break in a new motor yesterday and could not get it to idle. This is the first dominator I have ever used.

If that does not help ya let me know and i will email ya my build sheet on my carb......I run a real big cam though, it may or may not help ya ......

That carb is probably a little big depending on what your motor cosists of.....

boss252 03-10-2008 10:07 AM

The cam I am running is only .690 lift. I may have more carb then I need.

nocigarette 03-10-2008 10:13 AM

It all depends on what your budget is and how cheap you can get another one for.....If it was me i would just send it to pro systems or nickerson and have them fix it....They can shrink those dominators right down to what ya need....I think it was like 400.00 bucks and when i got it back it was so nice i did not want to bolt it to the intake.......

Griff 03-10-2008 11:29 AM

The idle has nothing to do with jetting.

Dominators do use powervalves.

How many cubic inches is your engine???? and whats max rpm????

Thunderstruck 03-10-2008 01:04 PM

I agree with Griff. But, Holleys web site under tech support has a numerical listing of all the carbs with part numbers/sizes of jets, metering blocks, power valves etc. There are several models of 1050's with and without metering blocks and power valves listed.

1050's

I have 1050's on my 540's running 600hp ea. They have power valves but I don't remember the size. I'm running 80 jet's in front and 84 s i rear. Hope this helps.

RunninHotRacing163.1 03-10-2008 02:11 PM

I had 1050's on my 580's running 1150hp ea. They had power valves and they were 6.5 s
Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the info guy's. I called Gary Williams who built the carb, and he is going to rework it for my motor.
