BrakeRite EOH users

Any feedback on this particular brand of EOH brake actuator? Not of the description of it's use, but if any quirks, issues or conserns with how this unit itself works.

Thanks

I have a BrakeRite Titan controller on my triple axle Eagle trailer for my 382 Formula. Works well and have had no issues with the controller. They are still using BrakeRite controllers on the new Eagle trailers. That should tell you something ...

Thanks. Any lag time issue to speak of? How hard do the trailer brakes come on when creeping forward in traffic? Also, since the in cab controllers need to be calibrated for the levelness, doesn't backing down a ramp mess up the calibration?

Just ordered this unit and a battery break-away last night. Hopefully it'll work as people claim, 'cause I'm cutt'n and welding the surge coupler this weekend. No turning back. :)

I went with this in cab controller
http://www.tekonsha.com/files/P3%20Brochure.pdf

and this actuator
http://www.carlislebrake.com/trailer..._actuators.php

I went with the 1600 version....give 1600 psi to the calipers.

I feel I have a slight delay...My issue is I have full rubber lines running back not stainless steel. I am fixing that. I ordered a custom trailer. My fault for the lines.

The controller has a backing feature. Press the button for 3-5 seconds and it turns off the controller for backing. Made for this exact purpose. A great controller. Better technolgy compared to the others that work pendulium effect.

I have the tekonsha controller in the link you put up. The best hydraulic over electric I've ever used. It has specific settings just for that purpose & is totally adjustable. You don't really even notice the braking if its set right. smooooth

Not following. The braking is disabled when backing up? I'd prefer to have them while backing down a ramp.

electric over hydraulic only work when you step on the brake pedal. It's electrically activated. I don't get what he's talking about either.

I noticed when backing(launching/retriving) going down hill(ramp) the brakes get applied some. with the boat its not bad but when the trailer is empty(retriving) it can get annoying the brakes locking up.
I know its a backing feature of the product.
It must activate because of the angle of the truck and you have the brakes applied......when backing....I assume

see in this instruction manual. Its for the prodigy version but also the same for the P3.
The reverse feature:

Its turns off the boost feature for 3 minutes.

I have the dexter brake pump and chevy stock brake controller. But you have to install a ping module at the pump, because the chevy controller does not recognize the pump. Works great though, it's nice know that you have brakes unlike serge brakes.
