pushrod guide plate clearance

Hi ALL,

I have a set of dart heads with one piece guide plates , what is the proper way to make sure that they align. How much clearance should be between the pushrod and the plate. The pushrod rubs against the side is this correct. Can someone walk me thru this process and which one piece guide plate they are using. Thanks Alec

I have dart heads also and ended up using comp cams adjustable guide plates. I couldnt get the one piece to line up very well either. Those adjustable are great!

guide plate

Dart makes a 2-piece guide plate. It makes alignment easy. I have them in my E-bay store~ Merlin Marine~ Tony @ 770 932-6694

I am wrong, the originals were comp cams. I did buy the dart guide plates. Part # Dart 27001230-4.
