496 Exhaust bolts

i just got a set of 496 manifolds for my 454 (thanks Donzilla!!)
I'm curious about the attaching bolts , in mercruiserparts it says the 496 uses metric bolts M8 x 35/70
and the 454 uses standard bolts
will the bolts that came with the 496 manifolds work in my 454 , or should i go to the local hardware store and get 8 short and 8 long in standard size for my project

The 496 bolts are 8mm x 1.25. The 454 bolts should be 3/8 16
