Air Filter?? K&N Keith Eckert,Stock??
 

Currently using my stock air filter on 2001 500efi, What is probably the best after market one out there. Also does anyone make one like the one on the new merc 525??????

Will, You already have a K&N filter on your 500EFI. You won't find any arrestors or filters that will flow any better than that or give you any gain in power. Guess it's time to pick a Whipple!

K&N paper elements probably flow well new, but I have seen some problems attributed to moisture on higher hp blower applications. I switched over to the wire and have found it very easy to clean, and looks decent as well. From a supplier standpoint, Eickert's stuff is always good and maybe a few bucks more expensive as well.

OK, Next question how often should I clean my filter # of hours?
