what is the number of interlux are you looking at? We use a lot of it "33" for bottom paint. Nothing sticks because it slowly wears off, So if you pull up on a beach it will wear it off. You do have to primer it first and do the right prep work for it to last.

The whole idea of interlux 33 is to slowly wash off and therfore nothing sticks to it, So you dont have to get aggresive washing it off, It's designed to come clean easily. The primer seals the gelcoat from getting water under it, I.E. "blisters", And the primer stays on for recoating the "33" years afterwards.

Scarab, You can use there filler putty and then put the primer on it and then the 33. However it is not very good if you are going to put it off and on the trailer,Sliding on.
