where is the best place to hook the hose to the block with out it getting clogged?

Best place to hook it so it doesn't clogged is into the intake manifold. thats where mine are on 502mpi's. On my Pantera, it was hooked to the block drain and would get clogged a lot.

You hook it to the oilcooler first,so if it will get clogged you only have to take it of the cooler ,clean it an its a go again.
(the cooler will be your strainer)
Small cooler (steering) > seapump>next cooler (oil)>
Motor>exhaust> thats it.
Thats how i would do it .:D

I think he is talking about where to hook up the tube for a water pressure guage.
